Hyatt Lodge Announces Four Green Key Certification
Oak Brook, Illinois (October 29, 2013) – Hyatt Lodge at McDonald’s Corporate Campus announces its Green Key Eco Rating certification, and has been awarded four green keys. The hotel was graded in five operational areas of sustainability and green practices that include:
- Corporate Environmental Management
- Food & Beverage Operations
- Conference & Meeting Facilities
The hotel has also taken careful consideration within the details of maintaining the following green standards in operational management of the facility:
- Energy conservation
- Water conservation
- Solid waste management
- Hazardous waste management
- Indoor air quality
- Community outreach
- Building infrastructure
- Land use
- Environmental management
The four green key rating extends the hotel’s journey within enduring environmental practices as the hotel recently received its Silver LEED® Certification earlier this spring, which completes the series of Silver LEED Certification of buildings on the McDonald’s Campus. The hotel’s goal is to be an effective leader in maintaining a developed hotel facility while educating its associates, guests, and ownership on the benefits of green practices in managing operation costs, hosting “green” meetings and events, and promoting sustainable service efforts in hospitality.
Hyatt Lodge’s environmental practices support Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s, “Thrive,” corporate social responsibility program, which is committed to implementing more sustainable business practices across its hotel operations globally.
