Graue Mill & Museum

A hidden gem in Oak Brook

Graue Mill & Museum is the only operating waterwheel gristmill and was also one of three Underground Railroad stations in Illinois. The mill has been around since the mid 1800’s and was a center of economic life during the 19th century and added to the DuPage County Forest Preserve District in the 1930’s and was fully repaired in 1950.

The Mill and Museum provides several programs including milling, spinning and weaving plus living history presentations as well as seasonal special events.
